Allison Howlett, 36, who was born a man but lives as a woman, was arrested Saturday on charges of making terroristic threats, assault with a deadly weapon, auto theft, gun theft and other offenses.
The wild story unfolded shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday when Howlett’s former spouse called police to report Howlett had stolen her car and the vehicle held numerous firearms, Henderson Police Chief Reggie Rader said.

As officers approached the vehicle Howlett blasted music over the car’s stereo and refused commands to exit.
She did, however, ask cops for a drink of water.
Shocking video of the of the ensuring interaction shows officers surrounding the vehicle dragging Howlett from the car, as she reached for a bottle of water ostensibly offered by the clever cops.
“Officers were eventually able to establish communication and convince her to roll down her window during negotiations,” said Rader.
“When she asked for water, the quick-thinking officers developed a plan to take her into custody as an opportunity arose when she reached for the water,” he explained. “Officers used that moment to gain control of her hands and remove her from the vehicle.”

“Ow, OK, I’ll get out,” said Howlett as an officer grabbed one of her hands. Rader said cops stunned Howlett with a Taser while she being taken into custody.
The officers were shocked to see that Howlett had been sitting on a handgun and had an MP5 submachine gun sitting on the back seat.
When cops searched Howlett’s car, they recovered 22 other guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
Cops who searched her home in Henderson found 30 more firearms, including automatic rifles, plus ammo, grenade launcher attachments and silencers.
Officers said Howlett made several threats going back years, a including a 2024 call where Howlett threatened a mass shooting.
“I swear to God, if the FBI doesn’t come f—— arrest me, there’s gonna be a f—— mass shooting,” Howlett allegedly said in a recording of the call played at Tuesday’s briefing.
“There’s one day you’re gonna be pissing me the f— off, and it’s gonna be the last f—— straw,” she added.
Police said the incident remains under investigation and that investigators are still searching for a motive. Howlett remained in custody at the Clark County Detention Center Wednesday morning.

Former Titans scout Blaise Taylor guilty of murdering pregnant woman with cocaine
Story byFormer Tennessee Titans scout Blaise Taylor has been convicted of murder.
Taylor, 30, is facing a potential sentence of life in prison for allegedly poisoning 24-year-old Jade Benning, who was five months pregnant with a child authorities say Taylor fathered, with a lethal dose of cocaine in 2023. The former scout faced four total counts of murder – two for first-degree murder and two for felony murder – in the trial.
AdvertisementAdvertisementIn total, Taylor's trial lasted eight days after beginning on Tuesday, June 23. After both sides delivered their closing arguments on July 1, the jury deliberated for just under three hours before delivering their verdict.
The jury returned a guilty verdict on all counts.
Prosecutors alleged that Taylor gave Benning a drink laced with cocaine in February 2023, then called 911 and claimed she was suffering an allergic reaction. The defense argued that Benning had a history of drug use and was using drugs and alcohol during her pregnancy.
During the trial, jurors heard from many witnesses, including Benning's stepmother, one of her coworkers, one of Taylor's coworkers and medical experts including a forensic toxicologist. The jury ultimately reached a unanimous guilty verdict.

Home Office confirms each asylum claim costs the taxpayer £18,700
Every asylum claim lodged in Britain hits the taxpayer with an £18,700 bill, astonishing new figures disclose.
The average sum includes the cost of providing accommodation and living costs, as well as the sums spent on processing claims and any legal appeals.
It will include Channel small boat arrivals who are housed in migrant hotels as well as less costly types of claimant, such as those who arrive legally on work or student visas and then claim asylum in a bid to remain in Britain.
The Home Office published the figure in background papers to the new Immigration and Asylum Bill, published on Tuesday.
The costings were based on ‘asylum claims from July 2024 to June 2025’, the papers showed.
It would mean the 93,525 asylum claims lodged in the year to March will cost the taxpayer a staggering £1.7billion to resolve.
There were 2,742 small boat arrivals in June which, using the same average figure, will cost more than £51million to support and process.
However, the true cost of dealing with different types of asylum applicants will vary.

For example, the Home Office disclosed earlier this year that it costs an average of £158,000 a year to support a family of asylum seekers.
The official ‘impact assessment’ published alongside the Bill also revealed that more than three-quarters of those who made ‘right to family and private life’ under human rights laws are unemployed.
A breakdown of claims made here under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights said 76 per cent were jobless.
The papers said the applicants were ‘unemployed at the time of application’ and it included ‘both those with and without the right to employment’.
In a further development, the papers add that Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood’s proposals to crack down on abuse of Article 8 may even lead to a spike in asylum claims.
The document said: ‘An increase in refused Article 8 ECHR claims is likely to lead to an increase in the number of migrants that require Immigration Enforcement involvement to exit the UK, with includes both voluntary and enforced removals.
‘The capacity for enforced removals is fixed, so it is difficult to say whether there will be an overall increase in enforced removals.
‘However, in 2022, only five per cent of family and private life refusals that had Immigration Enforcement involvement were enforced returns.
‘To note, increasing the number of refusals may also increase the number of people claiming asylum.’
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood published her new Immigration and Asylum Bill earlier this week
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has dismissed Labour’s plan as ‘minor tweaks which will make no difference whatsoever in practice’.
He said previous attempts to ‘fine-tune’ Article 8 claims ‘did not work’.
‘The only way to end illegal immigration is to pull out of the ECHR and modern slavery treaty entirely, which will enable all illegal immigrants to be deported within a week of arrival.
‘Only the Conservatives have a properly thought out plan to do that.
‘These gimmicks from Labour will not move the needle and are simply performative - just like their previous absurd claim to smash the gangs,’ he said.
