President Donald Trump teased renderings of the new White House Ballroom his administration is adding to the East Wing, with the White House confirming that the project is on track to be completed as planned.

“Our Great National Security Facility and Ballroom is moving along on schedule. When completed, there will be nothing like it anywhere in the World!” the president posted to Truth Social on Sunday.

Trump attached several images of what people can expect the White House to look like.

One image was a close-up of the capitals — the top pieces that help distribute a roof’s weight — of the ballroom’s classical-style columns, likely fashioned after Roman Composite columns. The design features layered acanthus leaves, representing endurance and rebirth, and angled volutes, similar to the architecture of the U.S. Supreme Court, with the addition of a roaring lion’s head.
