The son of tragic world champion boxer Ricky Hatton has revealed his heartbreak after yobs torched his father's old car nine months after the legend's sad death. Campbell Hatton, 25, posted CCTV footage of two unknown louts on his drive hurling petrol over his late dad Ricky's silver Ford Kuga car before it was set ablaze.

Boxer Campbell's home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, was also damaged in the blaze with a window shattered and the ex-pro said he had been left "shocked" and "upset" by the attack that police say was "targeted". It has been reported that a neighbour alerted Campbell - who was in the house in bed with his partner - just before midnight to the arson on his drive.

The fire on Monday night also fractured a gas main and fire crews and police had to alert Cadent engineers to the scene to avoid a bigger disaster.

In a post about Monday night, Campbell, 25, said: "At around 11.40pm my dad's car got set on fire outside my house.

"CCTV of two lads look like they came through the valley in Hattersley to do it so anyone with any info or cameras that might have caught anything let me know.

"Absolutely gutted - the car was one of the only things I’ve got that was my dad's and a lot of sentimental stuff ruined.

"Need to get to the bottom of it I have a seven-year-old daughter who stays here."

Campbell is Ricky's eldest son - he also has daughters Millie, 15, and Fearne, 14, from another relationship.

Ricky tragically took his own life on 14th September 2025 aged 46 after battling depression. He became a UK sporting legend winning world titles at light-welterweight and welterweight.

In his prime he beat legends including Kostya Tszyu and Jose Luis Castillo but suffered devastating losses to Floyd Mayweather Jnr in 2007 and Manny Pacquiao in 2009.
