Robert Kraft informs NFL he wants Patriots to play in Scotland, after country's World Cup visit in Boston
Scotland's visit to Massachusetts for the World Cup has been so impactful, Boston and Glasgow are officially sister cities. If you've been following the World Cup action, you know the excitement extends far beyond the pitch. The Scottish fans are praising their visit to the 617 and the Bostonians are expressing how palpable the energy of the city is as fans in kilts yell, "No Scotland, no party."
The visit has made such an impact that New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft wants to reverse the roles and have his team play in Scotland. According to the Boston Globe, Kraft informed NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that the Patriots are interested in playing a regular-season game in Scotland.
The NFL plays numerous games internationally, but no team has ever played in Scotland.
In 2026, there will be nine NFL games played outside of the United States, the most ever in a single season. Games will be held in Australia, Brazil, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain. In 2027, the number will increase to at least 10 games, with the possibility of 11.
Under the CBA agreement, the number of international games is capped at 10, but since the Jacksonville Jaguars game at Wembley Stadium doesn't count toward the total, 11 games outside U.S. soil is possible. Goodell has said eventually he wants 16 international games and with the program rapidly expanding, it's not out of the question to have a game in Scotland.
If the Patriots do end up playing a game in Scotland, I have a feeling fans from both areas will be thrilled and show up in packs.
Here's a look at the 2026 International Series schedule:
- Week 1: Melbourne -- Rams vs. 49ers
- Week 3: Rio de Janeiro -- Cowboys vs. Ravens
- Week 4: London -- Commanders vs. Colts (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
- Week 5: London -- Jaguars vs. Texans (Wembley Stadium)
- Week 6: London -- Jaguars vs. Eagles (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)
- Week 7: Paris -- Saints vs. Steelers
- Week 9: Madrid -- Falcons vs. Bengals
- Week 10: Munich -- Lions vs. Patriots
- Week 11: Mexico City -- 49ers vs. Vikings

Cops who busted smiling sisters Cookie and Kitty offer hint at motive for Texas mom’s murder

Add The New York Post on GoogleThe vicious, broad-daylight murder of a Texas mother of five was far from a random act of violence, cops have revealed.
Instead, the three young women accused of murdering Caroline “Caro” Peña – smiling sisters Kitty Mia Diaz, 21, and Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19, and their pal, Kyandra Renee Faz, 21 – knew the 32-year-old victim, Del Rio Police Chief Frank Ramirez told TMZ.
All three women were hit with first-degree murder charges after police say Cookie repeatedly stabbed Peña in the back during a heated confrontation in the small border city of Del Rio on Thursday afternoon.

The chief declined to specify the nature of the relationship between Peña and her accused killers.
Police have not offered an explanation for why the four young women — two of them mothers — were fighting.
Faz told police that Peña had “arrived at her residence looking to start a fight,” according to a criminal complaint obtained by The Post

Surveillance footage later obtained by investigators showed Peña’s black Dodge pickup truck driving up to Faz’s house, where Cookie and Kitty arrived shortly thereafter.
The video shows Cookie fly out of the passenger seat of a black Chrysler 300 and confront Peña — while holding an object believed by cops to be a knife in her right hand, according to the complaint.
Cookie is seen in the clip striking the mother in the back, where blood begins soaking her shirt, the document states.

That’s when Kitty and Faz jumped in — allegedly beating Peña before running away, according to the court record.
Peña was reportedly driven to a local hospital by her nephew. She succumbed to the stab wounds at around 9 p.m. at a hospital in San Antonio.
Ramirez stressed that Peña’s decision to go to Faz’s house doesn’t suggest she bore any responsibility for the violence that followed, the outlet reported.

Just two hours after the brutal attack, Cookie and Kitty flashed twisted smiles as police hauled them off in handcuffs.
Footage taken outside the siblings’ home showed a barefoot Kitty – wearing tight black shorts and a halter top with an illustration of white hands cupping her breasts – grinning briefly at the ground as two officers escorted her into a patrol car around 4 p.m. Thursday.
Her similarly scantily clad younger sister appeared to put on a show for the camera, brazenly flashing her pearly whites and giggling after sarcastically yelling at the man behind the camera, “Stop recording!”

“I saw the first girl going into the car, and I thought, ‘Whatever’… But the second one caught my eye,” independent journalist Michael Elizondo, who filmed the arrests, later told The Post.
“That girl was in a happy mood…She was all smiling, goofing off like nothing happened,” he said.
Ramirez blasted the sisters’ demeanors as stunningly “callous.”
“My impression is it didn’t look good, and you would think there would be a little more remorse in a situation like that – it looked callous,” he told TMZ, referring to the chilling video of their arrests.
The three accused attackers are behind bars after each were slapped with $5 million bonds by a judge during their first court appearance Friday, when they all requested court-appointed attorneys.

What's next for the Lakers?
LeBron James is gone.
They have all this cap space.
They already resigned Austin Reaves, DeAndre Ayton opted in, Marcus Smart might be leaving.
How are they gonna perfectly construct this roster around Luka Doni?
What's this grand plan that Rob Pelinka has been building towards around Luka?
'Cause I'm not seeing it.
What I'm seeing is Pelinka botch decision after decision after decision over the last five years.
And this is another one, because LeBron James is still a top 25 player in the NBA, but he felt exiled ever since they acquired Luka Doni.
Ramona Shelburne from ESPN said they had a meeting with Luka about the future and how to build the team, and it didn't include LeBron James.
AdvertisementAdvertisementwe already know earlier this year, LeBron was slighted when Rob Pelinka barged into the room and, and honored JJ Redick for his, his 100th win, even though LeBron James had another record and JJ was about to give him the game ball before Pelinka came in.
All these little things, you can say LeBron's just being a big, whiny baby.
You can say all that, and that might be true.
It is partially true.
But you can also understand why the guy would feel slighted after he spent eight years there, and very clearly, the Lakers were pushing him out the door.
W- We want you, we want you to be here, but actually, secretly, they want you gone.
AdvertisementAdvertisementThat's what happened with the Lakers.
And so what's Pelinka gonna do?
What are the Lakers gonna do?
What's this new ownership gonna do, run by the Dodgers, who have had great success in building out that baseball team?
So what's gonna happen with the basketball team?
We'll find out in the coming days and in the coming weeks, but I'm skeptical about this whole grand plan that the Lakers supposedly have, 'cause they haven't shown much of a plan over the last five years, ever since they won the championship in the bubble in 2020.
So I'll see it when I believe it.
