Lamine Yamal is officially in the knockout round.

After a sterling 2-1-0 showing in the group stage, Spain faces David Alaba’s 1-1-1 Austria at Inglewood, CA’s SoFi Stadium on Thursday, July 2 in a round of 32 match that will catapult the victor into the round of 16 and loser to the proverbial sidelines.

If you’d like to be at this crucial, all-or-nothing battle in La La Land, last-minute tickets are still available.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats was $899 including fees on SeatGeek.

Prices start at $1,479 including fees for 100-level seats.

Although Spain is favored to come out on top in this dog-eat-dog showdown — they have the third-best odds of any team of winning the World Cup behind France and Argentina, per ESPN — Luis de la Fuente’s club will be without wingers Nico Williams and Yéremy Pino after they were injured in their clash with Uruguay.

“[Williams] felt discomfort,” De la Fuente said after the game. “It could be a strain, or it might be fatigue. But the worst thing is the huge pain we feel with Yéremy, who could miss the rest of the World Cup.”

Before this match was even set, Burschen dreaded the prospect of having to potentially go toe-to-toe with La Roja.

“Spain is not an opponent anyone would want to face,” Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick said before his team even advanced to the knockout stage.

“They are also one of the nations that have shaped the history of football in recent years and, what’s more, they have Lamine Yamal, one of the absolute superstars of the future. I imagine that if he stays fit and keeps his feet on the ground, he could reach a level similar to that of Lionel Messi.”

Prior to this matchup, the two countries have met in the World Cup just once before. Way back in 1978, Austria narrowly defeated Spain 2-1 in the group stage. 21 years later, La Roja throttled “Das Team” and pulverized them 9-0 in a 1999 UEFA Euro qualifier.

Since then, they haven’t duked it out on the pitch since a 2009 friendly.
