Cowboys and Lions Could Link Up For Trade After Terrion Arnold Release
With the Detroit Lions in need of more help at cornerback, it's possible they could strike a trade with the Dallas Cowboys at some point.Mike Moraitis|
In this story:
Dallas Cowboys | News, Scores, Schedules & StandingsAfter releasing Terrion Arnold, the Detroit Lions are likely to be on the lookout for more cornerback help between now and Week 1 and the Dallas Cowboys are a team that could help via trade.
The Lions announced the release of their 2024 first-round pick on Monday and it comes on the heels of Arnold being hit with kidnapping and armed robbery charges.
Arnold was set to compete for a starting job after a disappointing start to his career over two seasons, but he was likely to win it with Detroit not having much competition for the role.
And that lack of competition now means the Lions are in a bind and need to make some kind of addition at some point.
That's where the Cowboys could come in.
Cowboys could have excess at cornerback

After what we saw last season with injuries and ineffective play, it's hard to envision a world where the Cowboys could have an extra cornerback available for trade, but it's possible.
The Cowboys have DaRon Bland at one boundary spot and he figures to be locked in to that job, at least to begin the season. Whether or not he keeps it or stays healthy remains to be seen.
At the other boundary spot, Dallas has Cobie Durant, Shavon Revel and Caelen Carson competing for the starting job. Then, Dallas has Caleb Downs set to man the slot, with Durant likely serving as the backup there.
All of that and we haven't even mentioned the presence of fourth-round pick Devin Moore, who is a total wild card but could still carve out some semblance of a role for himself. How fast the rookie develops could determine how willing the Cowboys are to part with one of their cornerbacks.
But if all goes well and Moore is looking ready to contribute, Dallas may have five viable cornerbacks with Moore, Bland, Revel, Durant and Carson, which could make one of them expendable, although we certainly wouldn't rule out Dallas leaving nothing to chance after last year's issues and keeping all of them.
Who is most likely to be traded?

There are many reasons to believe why Carson would be the guy who gets moved, and first and foremost because he's the least likely to win the starting competition on the boundary.
We also just don't see the Cowboys giving up on a third-round pick like Revel that quickly, and the team just added Moore and Durant this offseason. Take Bland off the table, also, as his contract is simply too big to move.
Carson's NFL sample size is small because of injury and he only has 14 games under his belt, but he does have some promising numbers in his limited opportunities.
In 2025, Carson gave up a completion rate of 57.9% and a passer rating of 88.9 when targeted on 19 attempts. He also posted a strong Pro Football Focus run defense grade of 76.3.
Carson is having a strong offseason, also, with the third-year corner being one of the bigger standouts through OTAs and mandatory minicamp.
Now, to be perfectly clear, the Cowboys should not trade any of their cornerbacks right now, but if they get through training camp with everyone healthy and Moore shows he's ready to be a viable backup, then Dallas should consider moving off one of their guys if the right offer comes across Jerry Jones' desk.

Phillies Shake up Bullpen Demoting Chase Shugart in Favor of Veteran
Phillies Shake up Bullpen Demoting Chase Shugart in Favor of Veteran
A new veteran is being added to the Philadelphia Phillies bullpen.Kenneth Teape|
In this story:
Philadelphia PhilliesThe Philadelphia Phillies have been shaking up their bullpen throughout the 2026 MLB season, looking for the right combination of players to bridge the gap to closer Jhoan Duran.
Right-handed reliever Orion Kerkering has been excellent, but with Brad Keller sidelined because of an injury, it has been a bit of a revolving door for the middle relief recently. And now, the team is looking for a spark once again.
Right-handed reliever Chase Shugart is being demoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after back-to-back brutal outings against the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Mets. Taking his place in the bullpen will be veteran Lou Trivino.
As shared by Todd Zolecki of MLB.com on X, the Phillies have purchased the contract of the veteran righty from Triple-A to join the Big League club. This is his second stint in Philadelphia after making 10 appearances for the team in 2025.
Phillies send Chase Shugart to Triple-A, purchase Lou Trivino's contract

Trivino was great when his number was called last year for the Phillies. He threw nine innings with a 2.00 ERA, striking out eight batters. A 230 ERA+ and 3.36 FIP were produced along with 0.3 bWAR in such a short period of time.
The 2025 campaign was the first time that Trivino pitched in the Major Leagues since 2023. He actually began the 2026 season with Philadelphia but was released and signed by the Baltimore Orioles on May 4.
Trivino made two appearances, giving up six earned runs in three innings, and was granted free agency on May 12. Four days later, he was signed by the Phillies again, and now he is set to join the Big League club.
He certainly earned the promotion to the Big Leagues with how well he performed with Lehigh Valley. In 22 appearances and 28.1 innings of work, Trivino had a 1.27 ERA and 34 strikeouts, certainly looking like someone who can help stabilize a bullpen that has been, at times, overworked.

There will certainly be work for Trivino right away. Shugart was someone that interim manager Don Mattingly was going to with some regularity, but he struggled recently, looking to possibly be running on fumes.
He has given up three runs in back-to-back outings against the Pirates and Mets. That gives him three appearances in June alone, during which three runs have been scored against him, which spiked his ERA to 4.97.
Before the recent struggles, he had a 2.21 ERA through his first 16 appearances in 2026.

Influencer is brutally roasted over her 'atrocious' wedding dress
Viral influencer Brigette Pheloung, known online as Acquired Style, has officially tied the knot to her longtime partner, Mitch McHale - but she's been roasted by fans over her choice of wedding dress.
On Monday, Pheloung, who boasts nearly three million followers, announced that she had secretly gotten legally married in Philadelphia a few weeks ago, sharing a sweet video and various photos from the ceremony.
Their special day took place at Saint Joseph's University, where she and husband Mitch McHale first met years prior.
She made the announcement by sharing a video to Instagram, which showed clips from their private wedding, and was narrated by each of them telling the story of how they met.
Pheloung, who explained that a second, bigger celebration is still to come, also shared footage showcasing her wedding dress.
She donned a figure-hugging, long-sleeved lace gown, which featured a hood as well as an open back.
It was custom-made for the influencer by her and twin sister Danielle's own clothing brand, Phe Phe.
But some of the social media star's followers were not fans of the look, as they took to Reddit to slam the gown, branding it as 'too much' and 'ridiculous' for a summer event.
Influencer Brigette Pheloung, known online as Acquired Style, posted a video to TikTok proudly showing off her wedding dress following her intimate ceremony with Mitch McHale, but it garnered immense backlash after someone reposted it to Reddit
On Monday, Pheloung (seen in October), who boasts nearly three million followers, announced that she had secretly gotten legally married in Philadelphia a few weeks ago
'I see the vision but the execution is atrocious. The hood looks like an actual hoodie hood if that makes sense,' one Reddit user wrote.
Another agreed: 'The back cutout and the hood don’t go together.'
'The hood in the middle of summer in June is a weird choice, especially with an open back dress,' someone else typed.
'It’s just too too much. It’s too busy. The hood, the lace pattern, the bell sleeves, the cut-out back buttons. It’s too too much. She’s from Jersey right? This tracks… maybe she needs to acquire some real style,' a different Redditor commented.
'The dress itself is pretty but the hood is just ridiculous especially in the summer,' read a fifth comment.
Other fans, though, thought the opposite, raving about how beautiful the gown was.
'Maybe I’m an outlier but I actually think this is stunning,' one Reddit user typed.
Another seconded: 'I don't know, I think she looks beautiful and incredibly happy. I’m a fan of it.'

She set off for the trip in a Boeing Business Jet worth millions of dollars and stayed in a private villa in St. Barths with her closest friends.
The jet ride and villa were both sponsored by AI mirror company Swan Beauty, which sells an $800 'smart beauty mirror' that gives users an AI skin analysis and face mapping, along with tutorials from professional makeup artists and even includes a makeup shopping app.
While Pheloung is only including her twin sister, Danielle, in her actual bridal party, she invited along nearly 20 friends for the sponsored weekend-long trip, including fellow content creators Kit Keenan, who is the daughter of fashion designer Cynthia Rowley, Audrey Trullinger, Lauren Wolfe and Klea Mulla.
The women showed their followers every detail of the weekend, starting off with their private jet ride, where they were greeted with drinks in coconut shells with her bachelorette catchphrase - 'acquired a husband' - as well as a buffet of breakfast foods and treats.

Brigette also gave viewers a private tour of their villa in St Barths, as seen above
The jet not only featured a full-size bed on board, but also a conference table and cashmere sofas and chairs.
The bridal party all wore neon sweatsuits from the twins' brand, Phe Phe, while Brigette wore a custom-made, bedazzled white suit that read 'bride' on both her shirt and the back of the sweatpants.
The bride-to-be toted a $35,000 mini Hermès Kelly bag during her travels.
While they were in the air, the girls made plenty of TikTok videos chronicling the trip, and even gave the bride a gift, which was a white tote bag from designer Goyard, which costs over $2,000, complete with her new initials painted on in it in bright pink.
After they made their way from New York City to St. Barths via the private jet, they were transported to a huge, private villa where the girls will stay for the weekend.
The villa featured multiple huge living rooms, a large kitchen and open-air bedrooms that each have their own private view of the nearby beach and sea.
It's unclear exactly what villa the brand has rented for the weekend, but similar, multi-room villas in the area go for over $18,000 per week.
