After encouraging a boycott of SEC schools over the Supreme Court’s decision to gut section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, actor Wendell Pierce tells Laura Coates that young athletes have historically been at the forefront of political protests and should use their platforms to speak out. Pierce argues that student athletes don’t need the SEC for success, saying their talent alone will get them noticed: “Your talent will be seen and found wherever you go.”
