Harry and Meghan's UK visit has turned into a disaster before it has even begun in a crisis of the couple's own making, it has been suggested. It is believed that an offer for the Sussexes to use a royal residence has not even been accepted. A source told The Daily Mail: "For the sake of family harmony the Palace would have been perfectly happy with a peaceful and low-key visit. Yet, once again, they have turned it into a soap opera. It's tiresome."
The newspaper also referenced a pronouncement from Meghan and Harry that the prince was considering leaving his wife and children in California over security arrangements. A source told The Guardian: "Their plans to see family... and visit charitable causes close to the duke's heart have been pulled out from under their feet at the 11th hour. He's looking at every option to get the family here safely."
