Police said they have issued arrest warrants for Kaiseem Smith and Azzubair Outen-Fleming, both 16, in connection with the death of Penn State University student Billy Schmidt in Philadelphia, according to 6 ABC. Prosecutors charged both teens with murder. The alleged shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. on June 6 just yards away from Schmidt’s home. He was coming back from watching the NBA finals with friends at a bar in the area, according to his family.
One person appears to throw a phone up in the air while a second person comes around a corner with Schmidt chasing after them, according to surveillance footage obtained by ABC News. Police alleged that a suspect shot Schmidt in the chest. The shooting allegedly occurred near Schmidt’s home on Durfor Street at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Schmidt allegedly demanded his phone back moments before he was shot, NBC 10 reported. Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) Deputy Commissioner of Investigations Frank Vanore confirmed police had obtained arrest warrants for the two teens accused of killing Schmidt in a June 30 statement shared on X.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced the charges against the teens in a July 1 news conference. Besides murder, Krasner said the teens face criminal conspiracy, robbery, and other charges.
Outen-Fleming’s stepfather, Dante Abdulmalik, was also arrested in connection with the case and has been charged with hindering apprehension, obstruction of justice, and tampering with evidence, Krasner said. He is 35 years old, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported. (RELATED: College Student Drowns At Popular Hiking Destination Weeks After Two Students Die Due To Ocean’s Swell)
The U.S. Marshals Service’s Fugitive Task Force is leading the investigation, according to NBC 10. U.S. Marshals Service Philadelphia is offering a $5,000 cash reward for each of the suspects, according to a post on X. Both teens are considered armed and dangerous, officials alleged.
“Surrender now. If you choose to remain fugitives, the Marshals Service will relentlessly pursue every lead, every associate, and every tip until you are located and taken into custody,” Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark said.
Schmidt was studying digital journalism at Penn State World Campus, the university’s online campus, according to CBS News Philly. A senior, he was set to graduate in December, according to FOX 29 Philadelphia.
Police said one suspect was around 5 feet 8 inches tall and wore a gray hoodie and a black mask. The other was allegedly dressed in all black with a camouflage mask and is said to be from 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches in height. Police alleged the pair ditched their hoodies and masks following the shooting and were observed wearing white T-shirts, FOX 29 Philadelphia reported.

Lexi Minetree and Reese Witherspoon are connected through more than just their shared on-screen character.
The duo have both played the iconic Elle Woods at different stages of life, with the newcomer dipping into Witherspoon’s vibrant pink wardrobe multiple times during her “Elle” promo tour.
On Tuesday, Minetree stepped onto the pink carpet at the UK screening of the Prime show wearing an equally bright magenta gown.

The vintage Stella McCartney design featured a strapless bustier neckline and a small train, with the actress, 25, styling her hair up and in curls with rosy makeup to match.
Witherspoon first wore the look to the 2014 Met Gala for the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion”-themed event — though it perfectly fits Woods’ aesthetic.
This is not the first time that the actress has looked to her Woods predecessor for sartorial assistance.

She made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” wearing the very same Marc Jacobs dress that Witherspoon chose for the premiere of “Legally Blonde” in 2001.
Even when she’s not borrowing from Witherspoon’s closet, Minetree and her stylist, Molly Dickson, have an eye towards the character of Elle Woods herself.
While promoting the film in New York City, the young actress slipped into the very same sequin Dolce & Gabbana that appears on film in the first movie, though she swapped the original blue for an aptly-chosen pink.

Including their infamous “Beckingham Palace” and the Cotswolds retreat where the soccer star keeps bees and collects eggs from his chickensBy Michelle Duncan and Katie SchultzJuly 1, 2026
Over the years, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have owned property in the UK, Spain, France the USA, and the UAE.Photo: Samir Hussein/WireImageWhere does David Beckham live? The knighted athlete and his wife of 27 years, Spice Girls alum Victoria Beckham, have owned numerous houses over the years, but they have rarely let the public in, only teasing glimpses on social media, for the most part. During Beckham, the four-part Netflix docuseries released in early October 2023, the couple offered a more extended look at their homes. Victoria and David primarily filmed the series in their London town house and their country manor, where David keeps bees (complete with an initialed beekeeping suit).
Despite their global careers, the couple has always emphasized the importance of their home lives. “We always make time for each other, and we always have,” David said in a recent interview with Variety. “I want Victoria to be the best version of herself, and vice versa. And as busy as we are, our family always comes first. That’s our priority, and that’s what makes it work when you’ve been together for so long.” Victoria had a similar sentiment in a 2025 interview with Elle. “We like to have fun. We like to spend time all together. We’re a very traditional family, much more than I think people would realize,” she told the outlet.
The Beckham family’s tight-knit reputation came under question when a rift between Victoria and David and their son, Brooklyn, went public in a series of January 2026 Instagram posts by the eldest Beckham child, claiming that his family “values public promotion and endorsement above all else.” Still, Victoria and David insist that they prioritize their family. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” Victoria said in an April 2026 interview, addressing the controversy for the first time. “We’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.”
In any case, the Beckhams have spent nearly three decades together building an impressive collection of homes. Below, we take a walk through what we know of the couple’s real estate portfolio throughout the years.

David Beckham scored the halfway line goal that catapulted him into international superstardom in 1996. It was also the year the football legend scored his first home, paying the equivalent of around $187,000 for a four-bedroom redbrick semi-detached duplex in unassuming Salford, a city bordering Manchester. The former Manchester United midfielder sold the property in 1999 (the year he and Victoria were married) for the equivalent of roughly $232,000, adjusted for inflation.
Oakwood House
The power couple’s first purchase together was in 1998, when they picked up a roughly $400,000 penthouse in a red-brick Victorian called Oakwood House, located in the very posh town of Alderley Edge, a village known for its popularity with Manchester United footballers. The Beckhams turned a profit when they sold the apartment for roughly $733,000 in 2002.

Photo: Ian Miles-Flashpoint Pictures / Alamy Stock PhotoIn 1999, when Posh and Becks bought the Grade II–listed Rowneybury House, the press quickly dubbed their new home “Beckingham Palace” due to the exorbitant amount they spent on renovations at these imperial-looking digs, for which they paid roughly $3.14 million. The laundry list of amenities included seven bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, a recording studio, a game room, and a gym.
“It’s an old house and I’ve themed every room. It’s really camp,” Victoria once said in an interview. “There’s a room like a tart’s boudoir, with leopard print everywhere and a mirrored ceiling. Then there’s our bedroom, which is quite virginal and white, with a big four-poster, old-oak bed. The hall is completely camp, with bright red walls, a huge tacky chandelier, and big, thick velvet curtains.”
The 24-acre grounds boasted tennis courts, a football pitch, gardens, a chapel, a hedge maze, and even “fake ancient ruins that form a children’s playground.” The Beckhams sold the estate in 2014, netting just over $11 million in profit.
Heawood Hall Estate
Just as Victoria announced her second pregnancy in 2001, the family moved to a converted barn in the prestigious village of Nether Alderley on the historic Heawood Hall Estate, a Grade II–listed property believed to have been built in 1720. The Beckhams’ five-bedroom spread set them back roughly $1.5 million and another $250,000 in renovations. According to reports, the property boasted a 35-foot-long indoor swimming pool, a gym, and a playroom when it went up for sale at $2.75 million in 2012. The family moved out in 2005 when Brooklyn was six years old; their second son, Romeo, was three; and their third son, Cruz, had just arrived.

French Vacation Home
Posh and Becks purchased a pristine six-bedroom villa nestled in 200 acres of rolling hills in Bargemon, Côte d’Azur, for around $1.9 million in 2003. After thirteen years of sporadic visits and around $6.2 million spent on renovations, the Beckhams put the property up for sale at around $2.9 million, which would have been a big loss. It remains unclear if the property was ever sold.
Spanish Residence
The summer of 2003 saw David switch teams, signing a contract with Real Madrid. It took two years, however, before he purchased a home in Spain: a five-bedroom Tuscan-style manse located in the La Moraleja area in 2005. The property had lush green grounds, a full tennis court, an outdoor heated pool, a small soccer pitch, and a designated children’s play section. An extended stay on the two-acre property was not to be, however, since David left Europe altogether in 2007 to join the LA Galaxy in the United States. Unfortunately, it was the beginning of a Spanish real estate crash. The Spanish residence sat empty for eight years before a businessman from Madrid offered the couple $5.2 million for the estate.
Beverly Hills Mansion
Upon arrival in the States in 2007, the Beckhams picked up a palatial Beverly Hills property for $18.2 million. The 11,497-square-foot Italian-style villa had six bedrooms and nine-and-a-half bathrooms, an elevator, a library, and a combo media and music room. The property netted them a huge profit when they sold it for $33 million in an off-market deal in 2018.
Burj Khalifa Unit

Photo: dblight / Getty ImagesHanding over their glam villa to Victoria’s parents did not mean the Beckhams had abandoned Dubai; they picked up a new place in the Burj Khalifa in 2009. Fittingly, the world’s tallest building comes with a slew of over-the-top amenities, such as four swimming pools, a four-story health and wellness facility (complete with another pool), a library, a cigar lounge, event spaces, numerous restaurants, and even a grocery store. Reports are that the Beckhams paid around $5 million for the digs.
London Town House
These days, the Beckhams’ home base is their townhouse in Holland Park, Central London. The couple bought the 9,000-square-foot Grade II–listed Victorian home in 2013 for an estimated $37.9 million and spent almost $10 million on renovations in 2016, including building separate quarters on an adjacent plot of land for son Brooklyn. The four-story mansion features six bedrooms, a black-and-white kitchen with a luxe six-burner stove, an indoor pool, a wine cellar, a gym, a fashion runway, a nail salon, and even a rumored escape tunnel under the garden.
Cotswolds Retreat
Like most well-heeled English folk, Victoria and David own a country home in the Cotswolds, the quintessential English countryside known to attract British royalty and celebrities. In 2016, they spent $7.6 million to convert three Grade II farmhouses into one nine-bedroom structure. The estate features a manmade swimming lake, an apiary, wildflower meadows, grand gardens, an orchard, an Estonian sauna, a hot tub, a plunge pool, and a tennis-court-turned-soccer pitch complete with bleachers. There’s also a $61,000 glamping version of a safari-style tent set up near the swimming hole, with all the trappings of an outdoor kitchen, including a stainless steel coal-burning stove that doubles as a dining table. Indoors, the estate is equipped with multiple reception rooms, a chef’s kitchen, a movie theater, a spa, a gym, a game room, and a wine cellar. With all the upgrades and renovations, the country estate is now said to be valued at $14.7 million.
A recent Instagram post from Beckham revealed that the athlete also has a chicken coop and a greenhouse, both of which he apparently enjoys tending to himself. In another post, the retired soccer star showed off his robust vegetable gardens, which grow sweet corn, lettuce, and strawberries, among other offerings.
Miami Penthouse

The building cost a reported $280 million to build and opened in 2019. Spanning the entirety of the 59th floor, the family’s 9,200-square-foot unit had five bedrooms and six full baths, walls of glass with picturesque views of Biscayne Bay, and a sprawling balcony. As one of the building’s 84 residences, it came with access to high-end private amenities, including a helipad, a beach club, an on-site bank vault, a fitness center, a spa, and an indoor lap pool. Uniquely, the structure also features custom scents throughout its interior spaces. Billionaire Ken Griffin and Grammy winner Marc Anthony are other notable names who have owned units in the structure.
In February 2026, the couple made a nice profit when they sold the home in an off-market deal for $24.6 million—nearly $2,700 per square foot.
Miami mansion
The Beckhams doubled down on Miami real estate in the fall of 2024, when they paid $72.3 million for a 14,270-square-foot mansion designed by Choeff Levy Fischman. The modern abode sits on a gated half-acre plot with 124 feet of Biscayne Bay water frontage, complete with a dock. The two-story pad has cantilevered wooden overhangs on each level that cover a wraparound terrace and a wraparound balcony, while its flat roof hosts a 2,500-square-foot terrace with views of downtown Miami, the Atlantic, and the bay. Walls of glass slide away to unite the house’s interiors with the outdoors, where an infinity pool is found.
Of course, a home this impressive needs a dramatic entrance. When they arrive home, the Beckhams are greeted by reflecting pools and a waterfall at the mansion’s entry. South American Ipe wood, Perlato marble, and dark bronze mingle throughout the lavish interiors, which are centered by a lush atrium with a two-story plant wall, a reflecting pond, and sabal palm trees. The kitchen has not one, not two, but three islands, plus a walk-in fridge. There are nine bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, four half-baths, a 40-foot-wide living room, a gym with an outdoor yoga deck, a spa, a home theater, an outdoor kitchen, and a wine cellar that can hold 600 bottles. Up a floating wood staircase, the 1,500-square-foot primary bedroom offers dual bathrooms, while a second primary suite spills out onto a private balcony overlooking the water.
The couple still maintains the residence, where they spend their time when they’re stateside.
