Nigel Farage has called for a General Election after Sir Keir Starmer's resignation. The Reform UK leader insisted the country needs "real change" and "not another washed-up has-been shoved into place".

Mr Farage's intervention came shortly after the Prime Minister announced his resignation in a speech outside 10 Downing Street. The Clacton MP said: "I’ve had enough of waiting around.
