Next Gen NYC’s Ava Dash Addresses Kyle Cooke Romance Rumors: ‘We’ve Just Been Just Having Fun’

Next Gen NYC star Ava Dash is setting the record straight on rumors she’s dating Summer House’s Kyle Cooke.
“We have gotten really close in the past couple months,” Ava, 26, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday, July 1, while discussing season 2 of Next Gen NYC. “We have the same friend group. A lot of my best friends are also his best friends, so we’ve just been having fun.”
Ava noted that she’s also grown “close” to Summer House stars Jesse Solomon and Mia Calabrese.
“We went to Coachella together, and, like, Carl [Radke]’s the sweetest guy. He was at Palm Tree this past weekend, and we just … we’ve all gotten so close, so yeah, we’re just having fun,” she added.
When asked whether she wanted to confirm or deny speculation about a romance with Kyle, 43, Ava told Us, “What happens in the Hamptons stays in the Hamptons, for now.”

Amanda Batula’s newfound romance with Summer House costar West Wilson has thrown the entire cast for a loop. “It’s just a lot to take in,” Amanda’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, said during a Wednesday, April 1, TikTok interview with Adam Glyn. “It’s not just me, Amanda, West, Ciara [Miller]. It’s, like, our whole friend group. […]Us spotted Kyle chatting with Ava at the Palm Tree Music Festival in Southampton, New York, on Saturday, June 27. Carl, 41, was also seen mingling at the event, as well as Summer House castmates Bailey Taylor and Levi Sebree.
Rumors about Ava and Kyle come seven months after the latter announced his split from Amanda Batula after more than four years of marriage.
“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple. We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing,” the former couple shared in January. “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”
Amanda, 34, has since moved on with Summer House costar West Wilson — a relationship that has caused intense public scrutiny and controversy among the cast, as West, 31, previously dated Amanda’s now-estranged best friend, Ciara Miller. Insiders confirmed to Us last month that neither Amanda nor West will return to Summer House for season 11 following the scandal.

“I’m in my own little world at the moment,” he told the outlet. “I’m traveling a lot, so I’m not even really in a position to date in New York. I’m having fun. Brandon Aiyuk Could Owe the 49ers Up to $18.4 Million
Hopefully Aiyuk hasn't spent too much of his money.Grant Cohn|
In this story:
San Francisco 49ersLast week, Brandon Aiyuk posted a video in which he said he doesn't care how much money he has to give up to leave the 49ers and join the Commanders. Turns out, he might not have realized just how much money the 49ers are going to take back from him.
Aiyuk recently taunted the 49ers by posting a video in which he called them stupid for paying him $50 million in 12 months, then voiding the guarantees in his contract for 2027 when he'll be on a new team. Meaning the 49ers can't really do anything to hurt Aiyuk. At least, that's what he thought.
He was wrong. Not only did the 49ers void his guarantees for 2027, they also voided his guarantees for 2026, and will look to recoup up to $18.4 million that they already paid him, according to NBC Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.
"Brandon Aiyuk gave the 49ers an incredible gift, an incredible out, by not fulfilling the terms of his contract and defaulting on it after he got injured with the torn ACL," Maiocco said.
"By him not showing up to rehab sessions, check-in sessions and everything else, by him not following the terms of his contract, he gave the 49ers the incredible opening to void the remaining guarantees of his contract, and I believe it also gives them the ability to go after a lot of the money that they have already paid him.
"Not only will the 49ers not have to pay him another penny, whereas if he had just shown up, the 49ers would have been on the hook for $27 million for this year, it also enables the 49ers to get a lot of money back. I don't know the exact numbers that they will be able to get back from Aiyuk, but I would put it somewhere between $13.8 million and $18.4 million.
"So, on the $23 million signing bonus, which is basically an advance for future performance, it comes out to $4.6 million per year for those five years. If the 49ers voided his contract a year ago in late July, they could get as much as $18.4 million back. Whatever the case may be, the 49ers are certainly going after that money, and there is no representation right now for Aiyuk, according to him."
Keep in mind, Maiocco said this on Saturday. Up until that day, Aiyuk had been posting multiple childish videos per day on social media. Since Maiocco reported that Aiyuk most likely will have to pay back a ton of money to the 49ers, he hasn't posted any videos online. Instead, he formally filed the paperwork to fire his agent, and posted a written letter to the NFL Players' Association asking for help.
Seems like Aiyuk finally understands the severity of his situation.
Here's the good news for Aiyuk: Now that he officially has fired his agent, other agents are free to contact him and help him take the necessary steps to get released, become a free agent and sign with the Commanders. Which means he most likely will file for reinstatement in the league and show up to the 49ers' facility for a day when training camp starts if he has to.
Here's the bad news for Aiyuk: He's probably on the hook for all those millions. He has been so relentlessly rude to the 49ers that they almost certainly won't cut him any breaks. They feel they paid him a fortune for essentially nothing. So they're going to get even.
If Aiyuk does indeed owe the 49ers roughly $18 million, and if he doesn't have all that cash saved up right now, he will have to pay the 49ers out of his future contracts.
What a price to pay just to join the Commanders.
Clearly, the 49ers want to make an example of Aiyuk so that no player ever will try to do what he has done, which is sign a huge extension, get injured, and then walk away from the team. They think they did nothing wrong, and he changed after getting paid.
But there's more to the story than that. Their narrative is awfully thin. They contributed to the breakdown of this relationship, and they should own that, because they need Aiyuk. When healthy, he's a top -10 wide receiver in his prime who has outstanding chemistry with Brock Purdy. They're attempting to replace Aiyuk with Mike Evans, who will turn 33 in August and is coming off the worst season of his career.
So when the 49ers finally get all the money back from Aiyuk that they can take, they can pat themselves on the back and say that they won. But really, they lost one of their best young players and got nothing in return for him.
That's nothing to be proud of.

He Helped Win the Giants' First Super Bowl. Then He Fought Cancer Twice.
The Giants tackle helped pave the way to the franchise's first championship — then fought off Hodgkin's disease twice before it forced him into early retirement.Paul Dottino|
In this story:
New York GiantsThe broken foot that derailed New York Giants offensive tackle Karl Nelson's entire rookie season wound up being a small blip on his radar screen compared to the two bouts with Hodgkin’s disease that came later in his career.
The Giants, with Nelson anchoring their offensive line, won Super Bowl XXI — the first of the franchise's four championships and the one being celebrated this fall on its 40th anniversary.
New York was pleased to land the sturdy, 6-foot-6 tackle out of Iowa State in the third round of the 1983 NFL Draft.
He excelled during his final year with the Cyclones, earning an All-Big Eight selection for the second straight season and gaining Academic All-America honors on his way to the East-West Shrine Game.
But a broken right foot suffered before his first pro season left him on the injured reserve list.
Head coach Bill Parcells went into 1984 with high hopes for Nelson as part of a rebuilt line.
The Giants used a first-round pick on left tackle William Roberts, converted backup guard Kevin Belcher to center, moved left tackle Brad Benson to right guard, and inserted Nelson for the injured Gordon King, who was lost for the year after off-season surgery on his left forearm.
The moves meant left guard Billy Ard would be the only returning starter to maintain his position.
Nelson stepped in without much trouble and was named to the All-NFL Rookie team by UPI, Pro Football Weekly and Football Digest.
Over the next two years, he practically became Joe Morris' personal escort on the running back's way to consecutive 1,000-yard seasons as the Giants finished fourth and sixth, respectively, among the NFL's rushing leaders. Nelson started 55 straight games through Super Bowl XXI.
Then, Nelson was hit with his first Hodgkin's diagnosis, prompting him to undergo radiation treatments that sidelined him for the 1987 campaign. Nelson returned to play nine games in 1988, although his season was interrupted by a sprained ankle.
After the Giants (10-6) missed the playoffs, the doctors determined his Hodgkin's disease returned and Nelson underwent chemotherapy into July; however, his body was still in recovery mode. That reality led to his decision to retire in December.
"I'm retiring for a lot of reasons," Nelson told reporters at the time. "My strength is not fully back from the side effects. I've got arthritis in my knee and shoulder. And I don't think I have the push for those five-hour days of football."
