A major update has been issued over fears that the £180 per year charge for a TV Licence could soon be extended to cover all streaming service users in the UK. After speculation mounted that streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video could be subject to TV Licensing charges directly, today, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy stepped in to quash rumours and rule out such a change.
