Collin Gosselin claims estranged mom Kate would ‘pray to God to stop hitting’ him when he was 2 years old
By Vanessa Serna Published June 30, 2026, 2:08 p.m. ETCollin Gosselin alleged his estranged mom, Kate Gosselin, would “pray” to stop herself from hitting him when he was a toddler.
The 22-year-old took to his Instagram Stories Tuesday to call out the matriarch ahead of the release of his highly anticipated memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight.”
“Never forget the fact that my mom would write in her diary how she ‘had to pray to God to stop hitting me’ (this was while I was 2 years old by the way),” he claimed.

“And this is why using my voice to put these things in the light is so important,” Collin added, referring to the secrets he is preparing to spill in his book, which will be released on Oct. 13.
A rep for Kate wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Earlier this month, Collin announced that he would be launching his memoir and warned it wasn’t “the story people think they know.”

“Writing this book forced me to revisit some of the hardest moments of my life, but it also gave me something I’ve been searching for for a long time: my voice,” he wrote in a statement. “It’s the story I’ve lived.”
Collin also sent a pointed message to Kate when he reshared The Post’s social media story about how the latter felt about the release of the book.
“Kate Gosselin ‘spiraling’ ahead of estranged son Collin’s bombshell memoir: ‘She knows it’s about to hit the fan,'” the story headline read.

The post also featured a photo of Kate, which Collin blurred out, as he added the caption, “What’s done in darkness will always come to light.”
An insider told the Daily Mail that Kate and Collin haven’t talked since he was institutionalized as a child, saying, “She didn’t expect any of this to ever come out. Now she’s spiraling because she knows it’s about to hit the fan.”
The TLC alum has allegedly been telling people that her son’s allegations, including how she allegedly tied him up in a basement, are baseless on “zero facts.” She’s also previously denied the claims against her.
She told People, “[He] has received multiple psychiatric diagnoses over the years. … Collin’s distorted perception of reality is one of the many issues that he has always struggled with.”
Additionally, Kate claimed via TikTok Monday that she can’t sue Collin for defamation because she is a “public figure” and the “rules are different unfortunately.”

“Or I def would!” she wrote in the comments of one video. “I consulted a high power LA attorney (you’ve definitely heard of him) years ago when other ppl were putting crazy stuff out there and that’s what he said.”
Kate and her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, rose to fame on the “TLC” show “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alongside their sextuplets — Collin, Hannah Aaden, Joel, Alexis and Leah — and twins, Madelyn and Cara.
The exes were married from 1999 to 2009, and Jon, 49, was granted sole custody of Collin in 2018.

Add The New York Post on GoogleIt’s the sort of moment rookies have nightmares about.
Guardians outfielder Cooper Ingle had an unfortunate moment Tuesday night in Cleveland when he forgot the number of outs and cost his team a run in an eventual 4-2 loss to the Rangers.
In the top of the seventh inning at Progressive Field, Ingle, thinking there were already two outs, made a routine play on a fly ball hit by Alejandro Osuna and tossed the ball into the stands.

The Rangers, who in actuality had a runner on second with still one more out to play, scored the go-ahead run when the ball went out of play, which allowed Ezequiel Duran to score.
Ingle went back to his position in disbelief and was charged with an error. It was a brutal mental mistake in a game his team would lose.

“Obviously, I feel terrible,” Ingle told reporters after the game. “It’s a pretty embarrassing feeling. … Yeah, honestly, when I threw the ball out, I heard a bunch of yelling. Happens sometimes, but just got to learn from it and not make the same mistake.”
The 24-year-old was making only his second major league start in the outfield and playing in his fourth game in the big leagues overall after being called up from Triple-A Columbus last week and making his debut last Friday.

He went hitless in four at-bats on Tuesday.
Ingle said he’s prioritizing moving on from the moment.

“It’s not something that makes you feel great, but things like that happen for a reason and learning from those things and moving on and getting better from them, it’s pretty much the only thing you can do,” Ingle said.
His manager, Stephen Vogt, had a similar mindset.
“You’re playing in your second game in the outfield in the big leagues and a mistake like that. Let’s learn. So what? It’s over. Flush it. We’re not going to be mad at him,” Vogt said.
The Guardians are 44-42 on the season, two games behind the White Sox for first place in the AL Central.

Add The New York Post on GoogleDean Wade is heading to the City of Brotherly Love.
The free agent forward has agreed to a four-year, $39 million deal with the 76ers on Tuesday night, according to ESPN.
Wade, 29, is leaving the Cavaliers, a team where he established himself as a critical defending and shooting piece in the frontcourt. He spent the first seven years of his career in Cleveland after going undrafted and signing a two-way contract with the team in 2019.

Wade was the longest tenured Cavalier.
Until Tuesday, the Cavs and Wade had been in ongoing negotiations trying to work out a new deal before the start of free agency.
But by late Tuesday afternoon, it became clear that Wade would hit the free agency market, and now Philly scopped him up on the first day.

NBA insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer reported that Philadelphia was expected to be one of several teams interested in acquiring Wade last week.
Wade’s defense made him an important piece of Cleveland’s rotation and allowed him to retain a consistent role there. His 6-foot-9 height and 6-foot-10 wingspan made it difficult for opposing guards and forwards to work around him.
Wade averaged 5.8 points and 4.2 rebounds alongside 1.5 assists per game during the 2025-26 season, shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from 3-point territory.

Wade started in 14 of the Cavaliers 18 playoff games this past season, where they reached their first Eastern Conference finals in eight years before being swept by the Knicks.
Wade only put up 4.4 points in 22.6 minutes per game in the playoffs, but his defense on stars like Scottie Barnes and Cade Cunningham made him a valuable piece of the Cavs’ run.
His plus-5.0 net rating was the highest among all Cavs players throughout the playoffs.
