Following the signing of Anthony Gordon, FC Barcelona have been fully focused on working out an arrangement to sign priority centre-forward target Julian Alvarez.

Ansu Fati is on his way to AS Monaco in a €11 million permanent exit after a successful loan move.

Now, another academy graduate, Inaki Pena, is close to finalising a permanent transfer away to Greek side Panathinaikos.

Medicals today

Indeed, according to journalist Matteo Moretto, Pena to Panathinaikos is now closed.

The 27-year-old La Masia product is all set to sign a three-year contract with the Greek club with an option for a fourth year.
