Day 1 offered plenty of excitement, as the Washington Wizards selected BYU forward A.J. Dybantsa with the No. 1 overall pick, joining a promising core of Anthony Davis and recently extended star Trae Young.
AdvertisementAdvertisementOn Day 2, the Houston Rockets got the ball rolling by trading up to take Ohio State guard Bruce Thornton. The second round included a plethora of swapped picks, including one that landed North Carolina center Henri Veesaar in Atlanta with the Hawks after he reportedly passed up an NIL deal worth more than $5 million for next season.

Bucks take Trinidadian F Malique Lewis with final pick of 2026 NBA Draft at No. 60 overall
The Bucks finished off the night by selecting Trinidadian forward Malique Lewis, a 3-and-D prospect who most recently played overseas for the South East Melbourne Phoenix in Australia.
And that's a wrap for the 2026 NBA Draft.
Timberwolves grab Purdue F Trey Kaufman-Renn with pick No. 59
Purdue forward Trey Kaufman-Renn, who formed a 1-2 punch in college with fellow second-round pick Braden Smith, is on his way to the Minnesota.
The Timberwolves could benefit from Kaufman-Renn’s signature push shot and rebounding.
Pelicans draft SMU G Jaron Pierre Jr. No. 58 overall
Jaron Pierre Jr.'s college career took him from Southern Miss to Wichita State to Jacksonville State to SMU. This past season at SMU, he averaged 17.6 points while making 2.4 triples per game.
The key for him will be providing more than just shooting in his chase for an NBA role.

The Clippers swapped spots with the Hawks earlier this round, which saw Atlanta trade for North Carolina center Henri Veesaar, and have now wound up with French center Narcisse Ngoy.
Ngoy was set to play at Auburn this season but ultimately headed to the NBA Draft. The Clippers will stash him and try to develop him.
Mavericks bring aboard Russian G Vsevolod Ishchenko with No. 56 pick
Vsevolod Ishchenko will be vying for a spot in the Mavericks’ backcourt. Ishchenko, who won the VTB United League's Young Player of the Year award this past season, is an effective shooter, including from beyond the arc.
Clippers take Northwestern F Nick Martinelli with No. 55 pick
Nick Martinelli couldn't have done much more at Northwestern. He finished atop the Big Ten in 2024-25 and 2025-26 with 20.5 and 23 points per game, respectively.
Martinelli has a soft touch and is capable of making the paint his home. He also shot 41.7% from 3 last season.

Lajae Jones turned heads at the JUCO level before playing at St. Bonaventure and Florida State.
This past season with the Seminoles, he averaged 12.7 points per game. He has 3-and-D potential in the NBA.
Pistons land UVA C Ugonna Onyenso with No. 53 pick
The Pistons just secured Virginia center Ugonna Onyenso, who was the second-leading shot blocker in college basketball last season with 2.9 rejections per game.
The 7-footer comes from NBA Academy Africa. His first stops were at Kentucky and Kansas State. That said, he was a defensive force for a 30-win UVA squad.
Clippers take UNC C Henri Veesaar with No. 52 pick but trade him to Hawks
North Carolina center Henri Veesaar has an NBA home. Veesaar was expected to go in the first round; however, he wound up going late in the second.
The Clippers took him with the No. 52 pick, then traded him to the Hawks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. This is all after he reportedly passed up an NIL deal worth more than $5 million for next season.
After transferring from Arizona, Veesaar averaged 17 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

The Magic have scooped up South Florida forward Izaiyah Nelson.
Nelson is a bit undersized at the center position, so time will tell how well he's able to translate his rim protection. But there's no doubt he knows how to make an impact. He was instrumental in USF making its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2012. Nelson averaged 15.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest.
Raptors select Arizona G Jaden Bradley with No. 50 pick
Toronto is calling upon the Big 12 Player of the Year, Arizona guard Jaden Bradley, to strengthen its backcourt.
Notably, Bradley knocked down a game-winner in the conference tournament semifinal versus Iowa State this past season. He was a premier clutch-time player at the college level.
His defensive chops could help him carve out a rotational spot in the NBA.
Nuggets draft St. John's F Bryce Hopkins with No. 49 pick
Denver is getting a bit of everything with St. John’s forward Bryce Hopkins. He averaged 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game last season, the only one he spent with the Red Storm.
Before that, Hopkins played for Providence and Kentucky. A torn ACL disrupted his college career; however, he offers solid 3-point shooting and multi-faceted defense.

The Mavericks are taking a chance on Virginia Tech forward Tobi Lawal, who pops with his athleticism — he’s got a 45-inch max vertical — but still has a long way to go offensively.
Still relatively new to the sport, Lawal is further ahead on defense, where he averaged 1.1 blocks and 6.2 rebounds per contest this past season with the Hokies.
Knicks take Vanderbilt F Tyler Nickel No. 47 overall
Tyler Nickel, part of one of the most successful Vanderbilt teams in years, is now joining the NBA champion Knicks.
Nickel has good size at 6-foot-7, and he’s an impeccable shooter. This past season, he hit 3.1 triples per game, shooting 40% from long range.
Wizards add Tennessee C Felix Okpara at No. 46 overall
The Washington Wizards are getting a fierce rim protector in center Felix Okpara. First at Ohio State and then at Tennessee, Okpara made a habit of swatting shots and affecting others.
In fact, Okpara averaged at least 1.5 blocks per game each of the past three seasons.

The Sacramento Kings are in full rebuild mode, and Emanuel Sharp will be part of that reset.
Sharp, despite his 6-foot-3 frame, has a two-way impact. He's a gritty defender and a reliable 3-point shooter. Over his four years at Houston, he shot a blistering 37.6% from deep.
Spurs grab Duke F Maliq Brown with No. 44 pick
For the second time in three picks, the Spurs were on the clock, and they tapped Duke forward Maliq Brown.
Brown knows how to disrupt on defense. Last season with the Blue Devils, he averaged 1.8 steals per game and chipped in 0.6 blocks per contest.
He’s an efficicient paint scorer; however, his jump shot will be a work-in-progress at the next level.
Nets take UCLA F Tyler Bilodeau No. 43 overall
The Brooklyn Nets have added depth in their frontcourt, drafting UCLA forward Tyler Bilodeau. He’s got floor-spacer potential.
Last season for the Bruins, he converted 2.1 3s per game and shot 46.4% from downtown.

The San Antonio Spurs are getting an experienced backcourt option in Tennessee guard Ja'Kobi Gillespie, whom they took No. 42 overall.
Gillespie finished his college career with the Volunteers after playing at Belmont and Maryland. He helped the Vols return to the Elite Eight this past season.
In 2025-26, Gillespie averaged 18.4 points and 5.4 assists per game.

Pistons reportedly trading C/F Isaiah Stewart to Grizzlies for 3 future second-round picks
The Detroit Pistons are trading center/forward Isaiah Stewart to the Memphis Grizzlies for three future second-round picks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Stewart, 25, will reportedly join a Grizzlies frontcourt that includes Zach Edey.
